These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you and the developer of the Belt iOS application ("Belt," "we," "us"). By downloading, installing, or using Belt, you confirm you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Belt.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Belt on any Apple device you own or control, solely for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms and the Apple App Store Terms of Service.
You may not:
Belt may offer optional premium features through Apple In-App Purchases and subscriptions.
Belt is not a medical device. Consult a qualified medical professional before starting any new exercise program. Physical training carries inherent risks of injury.
Belt uses motion sensors to provide movement data and analytics. This data is for informational and training-aid purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional coaching, medical evaluation, or certified athletic assessment.
By using Belt, you accept full responsibility for:
Belt is designed to be used while the device is attached to your body or equipment. You are solely responsible for ensuring your device is securely attached before and during any physical activity. We are not liable for:
Always verify your attachment is secure before beginning any session. Do not use Belt in activities where a falling device could cause serious injury.
Belt's movement detection, rep counting, intensity measurements, balance analysis, and other metrics are derived from smartphone motion sensors and algorithmic processing. These are approximations. Accuracy may vary depending on device model, firmware version, placement position, movement style, and environmental conditions.
Do not use Belt's data as the sole basis for medical decisions, competitive performance claims, or safety-critical assessments.
All content in Belt — including design, UI, motion detection algorithms, analytics methods, and branding — is owned by or licensed to us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Downloading Belt grants you no ownership rights to any part of it.
Your session data belongs to you and remains on your device. When you use Belt's optional Share feature to export a session summary, you take responsibility for where that content is shared. We claim no ownership over your training data.
Belt is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, or uninterrupted operation. We do not warrant that Belt will be error-free or that all detected movements will be counted correctly.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including personal injury, property damage, data loss, or financial loss — arising from your use of Belt.
Our total aggregate liability for any claim related to Belt shall not exceed the total amount you paid for the app in the twelve months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Belt developer from any claims, damages, losses, or costs (including legal fees) arising from your use of Belt, your violation of these Terms, or harm you cause to a third party while using the app.
We may suspend or terminate your license to use Belt if you breach these Terms. Sections 4, 7, 9, 10, 11, and 13 survive termination.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Belt's developer is located. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
These Terms are between you and Belt's developer — not Apple Inc. Apple has no obligation to provide support, maintenance, or warranties for Belt. For App Store refunds, contact Apple directly. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
Your use of Belt must also comply with Apple's App Store Terms of Service and any applicable third-party agreements (e.g., your wireless carrier's terms).
We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via App Store release notes. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of Belt after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance.
